Support the global Earth Hour on March 28!
Caring for our community and our environment is everyone’s social responsibility. In our own personal capacities, let us conserve energy, and take part in saving Mother Earth! All Habitat communities are enjoined to take part in Earth Hour by turning off lights in our communities from 8:30pm to 9:30pm on 28 March 2009.
Switching off our lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. Let us VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.
What good will it do if we turn off the lights for an hour?
√ We save energy – we save money!
√ We join others to raise awareness on climate change issues!
√ We know we are involved in a good cause!
√ We care about others!
It’s just 60 minutes! Let us show the world that we care!

ReplyDeletegood job! I took a nap with the lights off! hehe
ReplyDeleteum hi.i was just wondering...what would be the difference between turning off the lights of my house during the earth hour and turning them off regularly when they're not in use?hnd ba pangit din na biglang switched on lahat ng lights after the so called earth hour coz as more lights are turned on then the heat produced by the sudden transmission of electricity from the power sources. It's not that i'm not in favor of the earth hour.Seriously I do care for the environment. As a matter of fact one of my dream inventions is a machine that gets to replenish the ozone. I think the world will soon meet its ultimate destruction if global warming can't be stopped.
ReplyDeletethis isnt a good way to introduce but can we be friends? :) hehe its the core of my blog existence, to make new friends hehe
